The Best Instagram Photos Spots in Paris in Fall

If you are wondering where the best places to see fall foliage in Paris are, I got you covered! Paris is such a beautiful city during the autumn season! The orange foliage will be at its best from mid to end of October but it can last up to a month around this timeframe. The fall colors will turn the City of Love into a magical place! Here are the Best Instagram Photos Spots in Paris in Fall!

I have here gathered all the prettiest places to take Instagram photos if you visit Paris in Autumn. You can only fall in love with Fall in Paris!

The balcony at the end of Avenue de Camoëns offers you a beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower. And this is one of the very first places in Paris where trees take their autumn colors. Therefore this is my first recommendation for the best Instagram photos spots in Paris is fall!

Location: Avenue de Camoëns

Best moment of the day to take photos here: this street is rather quiet so you can come at any time of the day.

Tuileries Garden

The Tuilerie Garden is one of the most appreciated places to experience autumn in Paris! This park has a very central location between the Musée du Louvre and the fancy Place de la Concorde. There you will find one of the most famous Instagram photos in fall in Paris: an elegant tree-lined path leading to one of the beautiful building of the Louvre Museum. You can of course take pictures anywhere else in the garden! It’s so picturesque and for sure one of the best places to see fall foliage in Paris!

Location: Jardin des Tuileries

Best moment of the day to take pictures here: the park is big so you can take your photos during the day (if you do not mind having a few people in your background).

La Maison Rose in Montmartre

The Insta-famous « Maison Rose » (Pink House) in Montmartre is one of the cutest houses (and restaurant) of Montmartre and of Paris. It is covered with ivy which takes the most gorgeous colors in autumn: no wonder why it’s one of the best Instagram photos spots in Paris in fall! And of course it’s one of the most instagrammable places in Montmartre!

Location: La Maison Rose

Best moment of the day to take pictures here: as early as possible in the morning or on Tuesdays when the restaurant is closed. The owner of the restaurant doesn’t like people taking photos on front of her restaurant and might yell at you if you take pictures during the day when they have customers sitting at the terrace…

Eiffel Tower from Bridge of Bir Hakeim

The bridge of Bir Hakeim offers an amazing view of the Eiffel Tower! As the Iron Lady sits in the middle of the trees turning orange in the Champ de Mars, this is one of the best Instagram photos spots in Paris during the fall season!

Location: Pont de Bir-Hakeim

Best moment of the day to take pictures here: even though this bridge is very popular among photographers, it is possible to take pictures here at any time of the day.

Notre Dame Cathedral

Notre Dame Cathedral is one of my favorite landmark in Paris and I am so happy it is still possible to capture it from a flattering angle despite the renovations! Any views from the front of the Cathedral with the orange-yellow trees around will create amazing Instagram shots in Paris in fall!

Location: Cathédrale Notre Dame de Paris and more specifically for the bridge Petit Pont Cardinal Lustiger

Best moment of the day to take pictures here: early in the morning you will have the view to yourself! But you can also take your photos during the day.

Eiffel Tower from Trocadéro

One of the most special views of the Eiffel Tower is the one you get from Trocadéro. Between the Esplanade du Trocadéro and Eiffel Tower you have many trees that will have the prettiest autumn colors for your Instagram photos! This is one of the most instagrammable places in Paris all year long and not only in fall!

Location: Esplanade du Trocadéro (aka Parvis des Droits de l’Homme)

Best moment of the day to take pictures here: Better to come at sunrise as it will be less crowded. But you can manage later in the day by being patient and take close up photos, for example in the stairs going down to the Eiffel Tower.

Ivy Wall in Montmartre

Another perfect Instagram photos spot in Montmartre in fall is a wall covered with ivy. Depending on the moment you come there, the colors will come from green to yellow, then from orange to red. This ivy wall makes the most magical autumn background for your photos. If you are wandering in this area, you will see it’s also one of the most instagrammable places in Montmartre!

Location: Ivy wall Rue Saint Vincent

Best moment of the day to take pictures here: any time of the day will be ok as this street is not so busy.

Eiffel Tower from Champ de Mars

Champs de Mars is the garden at the feet of the Eiffel Tower. This park is a great place to capture the Eiffel Tower! It measures about 24,5 hectares between the Seine and the building of École Militaire which is perfect for your autumn Instagram photos! You will love to wander here, it’s really pleasant! It’s an amazing place to see fall foliage in Paris!

Location: Champ de Mars

Best moment of the day to take pictures here: Of course it’s less crowded in the morning. But it’s so big that you can always find a more peaceful walkway like this one in the picture.

Place des Vosges

I love wandering in the district of Le Marais in Paris and I especially love Place des Vosges!

It was built in the 17th century and named at this time the Place Royale. Back in these days, its access was strictly forbidden to poorly dressed people! I am glad anyone can enjoy it today 🙂 .

There are four picturesque fountains, one at each corner of the square in the garden. And the buildings around the square have a very unique architecture . In fall, the colors of the leaves is adding even more value to the spot! That’s why it’s such a beautiful place to capture in fall season in Paris!

You lay also recognize it as one of the filming locations of the famous show Emily in Paris 😉 !

Location: Place des Vosges

Best moment of the day to take pictures here: I recommend coming here in the morning. It can get busy in the afternoons, especially in the days and times when kids don’t go to school. The fountains start working from 9am.

Rue de l’Abreuvoir in Montmartre

Rue de l’Abreuvoir is the street where you can find the famous Maison Rose restaurant. But the whole driveway is bordered with other beautiful houses and fantastic colors in Fall season! You will find it very charming here for sure! This is the kind of place that can make you forget that you are in Paris! It’s one of the most instagrammable places in Montmartre and one of the best places to see fall foliage in Paris!

Location: Rue de l’Abreuvoir

Best moment of the day to take pictures here: it is better early in the morning as later in the day the street gets more busy with cars and tourists.

Eiffel Tower from Avenue de New York

There is no shortage of beautiful viewpoints of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, but the view from Avenue de New York is one of the best ones! During fall the foliage of the trees creates a beautiful orange framing around the Eiffel Tower!

Location: Eiffel Tower from Avenue de New York

Best moment of the day to take pictures here: it is easier to take your photos here  in the morning, especially during the weekends.

Luxembourg Gardens

The Jardin du Luxembourg (in English Luxembourg gardens) is located in the 6th arrondissement of Paris. This garden is very beautiful in all seasons but a walk here in autumn will be magical for sure! That’s why it is no contest one of the most instagrammable places in Paris in fall!

At the entrance of the park near the Senate and the Luxembourg Palace, you will find a lovely fountain named Fontaine de Médicis (Medici Fountain). This fountain is one of my favorite spot in this garden, especially in autumn!

Location: Jardin du Luxembourg and Fontaine de Médicis

Best moment of the day to take pictures here: it will be easier at the opening of the garden in the morning. Nevertheless you can come at any time to enjoy the garden and capture the beauty of the fall foliage in it. Be aware that because the Senate located in the Luxembourg Palace, the guardians of the park do not like people taking pictures with tripods.

Eiffel Tower from Rue de l’Université

Rue de l’Université is the perfect Parisian street: not only the buildings have the typical Haussmannian architecture but you have the Eiffel Tower in your backyard! This street is a very nice Instagram photos spot in autumn!

Location: Rue de l’Université

Best moment of the day to take pictures here: Because this street is very touristy, the earlier you come here the better especially during the weekend. In weekdays it can be more quiet during the day.

Staircases in Montmartre

Montmartre is a neighborhood of Paris located on a hill and for that reason you have many staircases in the area. They are pretty famous and picturesque, especially in autumn with the beautiful foliage! You can choose to capture them from the top with the view of Paris or from the bottom with the view of the Sacré Coeur. They are obviously the reason why Montmartre is so instagrammable!

Location: all around the Sacré Coeur in Montmartre

Best moment of the day to take pictures here: early in the morning. Montmartre is in fact a very touristy area and it gets crowded during the day.

Île aux Cygnes

Île aux Cygnes is an artificial island located on the Seine between Pont de Bir Hakeim and Pont de Grenelle in the 15th arrondissement. This hidden gem is one of the best places to see fall foliage in Paris and it also offers a beautiful Eiffel Tower view! It’s perfect for a stroll and some benches are welcoming you if you want to relax.

Also do not miss the replica of the Statue of Liberty standing here! It was offered to the city by the Parisian expatriate community in the USA and it measures 11,5 meters.

Location: Île aux Cygnes

Best moment of the day to take pictures here: the light is better around sunrise and sunset but you can come at any time of the day (I took my photos around midday).
